Although the Sheffield Train station shop was closed for the train strike yesterday, the Sheffield Brownie Bakery was still going ahead at full speed.

What a busy day in the bakery!

Yesterday my brownies stand amongst the Sheffield Train Station shops was unfortunately closed due to the ongoing rail strikes! Life however, in the Sheffield bakery was still steaming ahead at full speed and so busy.

The good news is, today Thursday 1st February, we are open, and we will be back at our lovely brownies stall in the main Sheffield train station concourse tomorrow Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd February, and the stall is ready for the month of love ❤️

I am excited to talk you about my day, and some of this week's bakes.

Yesterday started early as usual with a very busy morning making sure I got all my online orders out before lunch time, this meant the usual early start, baking, cooling and cutting before individually wrapping the brownies and blondies, before putting them into the letterbox friendly brownies gift boxes and getting them ready for taking to the Post Office before lunch for their 24 hour First class delivery all over the UK.

Yesterday also saw me preparing to send out a special large Corporate order of bite size brownies and blondies to a Company in London for a marketing event, we supplied them last year, and I am so pleased they are coming back for more.

After all my postal orders were packed and ready for delivery, I began to bake a special order of a brownies Birthday Tower for a family party later today, so I needed to get this ready for a local Sheffield brownies delivery later this afternoon, whilst baking the brownie tower which is a mixture of many of my chocolate brownies range, I took the opportunity to film some of the processes for my social media channels, including cutting and decorating our Terry's Chocolate Orange brownies, Oreo, Nutella, Malteser and of course not forgetting our Great Taste Award Winning chocolate brownies,

For the birthday brownie tower, I decorated it with a variety of Oreo, Malteser and Nutella brownies, sprinkled with some white chocolate icing and a Happy Birthday fondant message, it looked beautiful, and when this was all done, I popped it in the fridge to keep cool,

I then moved on to the next task on the days today's list, and this was baking cookie dough for the flavours of our cookie dough bars which I sell at the many street food festivals and markets we attend throughout the year, as well as the range of Cookie Dough bars we sell daily at the Sheffield train station brownies and cookie stand in the main concourse. Once the cookie dough was baked, I moved on to decorating my beautiful cookie bars, such as the Nutella, Lotus and gorgeous Jammy Dodger bars, I promise the cookie bars will be available online very soon for delivery across the UK in our brand new brownie and Cookie gift boxes.

I have recently launched my Valentine brownie gift range of a beautiful brownie sharing slab of Great Taste Award winning chocolate, and my brand new creation of mixed dipping boxes, so today, I also filmed the cutting and decorating of a delicious chocolate brownie slab!

I am always looking at new recipes and experimenting with new tastes, such as those in my range of Chocolate and Cookie Dipping Boxes, so I took the opportunity in trialling various bakes/fillings for the Mini Egg cookie bar, which I know will prove very popular, especially with Easter coming soon. Through trial and error, and much taste testing, we eventually cracked it, and I cannot wait to show you the end result and the taste is truly Scrumptious. Keep your eyes peeled for these bad boys, they will soon be on sale at our Sheffield Train station brownies stand.

Our new gift sleeves for the letterbox range has arrived so I am excited to share these with you. Now time to finalise the Birthday Brownie tower ready before the school run.

Have a great day x
