Our Scrumptious by Lucy chocolate brownies and Gluten Free chocolate brownies were entered into the prestigious Guild of Fine Foods, Great Taste Awards 2023, and we were the only brownies bakery to win not one award, but two, for our chocolate brownie and Gluten Free chocolate brownie, for what the judges described as
"Truly delicious"
Great Taste from the Guild of Fine Foods, is the world’s largest and most trusted food and drink accreditation scheme. Putting food or drink to the test with a panel of over 500 experts is a quick way to get honest, straightforward and impartial feedback from chefs, buyers, food writers and retailers.
I am so happy with the two awards and it reflects all the passion and hard work I put into my brownies, and I am so pleased industry experts have recognised my efforts. I am also really pleased that all my efforts and work in getting my Gluten Free chocolate brownies recipe to the same high standard and taste as my regular chocolate brownies, has been rewarded
My chocolate brownie recipe, both in the Regular brownie recipe and my Gluten Free brownie recipe, is the base for many of my brownies,
I add many of my specialist ingredients into my chocolate brownie base, to make some of my delicious and unique brownie, such as my Terry's chocolate orange brownie, where I start with baking the most mouth wateringly tasty chocolate brownie, which has been loaded with the freshest orange flavours, with added orange zest, and a luxurious orange oil blended within the chocolate brownie mixture before baking and then pop a Terry’s chocolate orange segment on top.
This year my chocolate brownie base features strongly in my Christmas brownies box, including my Christmas chocolate pudding and Christmas yule log , you can still order these for delivery now or for my final postal collection which will be going out on Tuesday 19th December.
Don't forget if you live in the Sheffield area or are passing through Sheffield train station, I have a pop up brownies stall where each day I have a beautiful collection of my regular brownies, blondies and cookie bars for you to buy, the stall runs Monday to Saturday in the lead up to Christmas between 10.30am and 5.30pm, (subject to rail strikes) if you wanted to order something special to pick up at Sheffield Train station, please get in touch and let me know. The pop up will be running up to the 22nd December, therefore, in time to pick up those delicious treats for that office party, or Corporate gift boxes.
Thank you so much for all my lovely customers, old and new, for your support over the years, and I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Love Lucy X
