Steel City mountain bikers fuelled by Sheffield's premier brownies baker Scrumptious by Lucy

Really looking forward to tomorrow when we will be supporting the 10th Edition of the Peaty's Steel City Downhill 2022 which will be held at Greno Woods S35 7DS

Scrumptious by Lucy will be in the infamous "Bomb Hole" with their incredible range of freshly baked brownies and blondies, as well as baking a few surprises in the shape of cookies and Rocky Road.

If you are into mountain biking, then tomorrow, this truly is the place to be and the weather is looking great, I have been baking all day and tonight will be a late one getting everything ready including our latest state of the art coffee machine, so I can offer you a gorgeous coffee with your brownie.

The brownies I will be bringing along tomorrow are a really good selection of the Signature chocolate brownie, The incredibly malty Malteser brownie, The gooey and delicious salted caramel, Kinder Bueno brownies, Terry's chocolate orange, a few blondies in the shape of my best selling Bakewell blondie made with almonds and raspberries as well as my Lemon drizzle blondie made with my home made lemon curd, I will also have a few surprise bakes of cookies, so come along and have a look so that you can mix your brownies in a box, and don't forget we offer the best brownie delivery anywhere in the UK.

The Peaty's Steel City downhill is a hugely popular mountain biking event recognised by British cycling This Saturday, 14th May, the 10th Steel City Downhill will take place in Peaty’s back yard, Grenoside woods, and this year powered by Peaty’s Products, It's going to be a day of celebrations. Being allowed back in the woods after a long hiatus; christening a brand new racetrack and marking our tenth race whose purpose has always been to raise money to keep Greno great for mountain biking and have a great time doing it.

Racing begins at 11:45 for the 300 riders with thousands of spectators expected to line the track to heckle and cheer all the way down. We’ve always billed ourselves as ‘the biggest little race’ with good reason. Although we don’t have the longest or gnarliest of tracks, we get a bigger crowd than a national and have the atmosphere of a world cup. It’s just magic. With a legend like Steve Peat at the helm, people travel from all over the country to soak up the ambience and enjoy the local beer, food and refreshments, served up in the bomb hole finish area.

This is where racers send the last drop before the finish line to a cacophony of cheers and expert commentary from Toby Parodi. This year, we have a completely revamped track to race. Watch as Peaty follows protegee Jackson Goldstone down the golden waves at warp speed.

Its truly a great event for the mountain bike aficionado's and great for the whole family. Greno woods are easy to find and there will be plenty of signs and marshals around to help you.

I also wanted to say thank you so much to everyone I met at my pop up stall at Sheffield Train station yesterday, what a fantastic day, and so good to meet such a lovely group of people as well as some of the sights of groups in all manner of fancy dress heading off to the Premier league Darts in Sheffield.

Hope to see you tomorrow.

Love Lucy x
