Who doesn't love a beautiful brownie and a great cafe.

Cafes around Sheffield.

Who doesn’t love going for a coffee and of course a brownie!

It’s such a good time to relax and catch up with family and friends. I always try and manage to fit at least one visit a week into my busy schedule, quite often If I am out the brownie kitchen and sending off an urgent brownie delivery, I am always tempted to call in for a coffee, even though I am surrounded by lovely brownies and blondies all day, I do love to get out and sample some others.

The boys love a babyccino or hot chocolate so it’s always a good opportunity to try and arrange play dates with the boys close to our local cafes. Here are some of my favourite hot spots that I regularly visit In the Sheffield area.

First up is Forge Dam Café, this is an absolute hidden gem!

A visit here is a must, the menu offers a wide variety of food that is delicious and so fresh! I tend to always order the daily salad and you must try the homemade chips!

I love that you get a side of Focaccia too! They are so delicious. The boys love the sausage rolls served warm before they must make the difficult decision of which ice cream flavour to choose! The cakes, brownies and bakes are so yummy you really are in for a treat.

The café is located next to a playground and duck pond so don’t forget to take along some bird seed! the café is in a great location to plan a visit at the end of a walk, and there are some really good walks in the area, plus it is a nice and peaceful out of the way place, with little traffic around, also the Cafe is very much a dog friendly place to go.

Another favourite for meeting friends is The Foundry Coffee Roaster in Cutlery Works

The owners have has created a cosy yet homely atmosphere and is perfect spot for a catch up with the girls. It’s also a good place to find a quiet corner spot to work or catch up on my social media.

This café is incredibly well known for their coffee, and has quite a following and is a real coffee destination. And the reason for that is, they really do know everything about coffee and sell incredible coffee beans, so if you are a coffee aficionado, this is a dream, the wonderful aroma meets you on approach, and it tastes as good as it looks, it really is delicious, and is always served to perfection.

Another favourite café of mine and my husband in Sheffield Lotte’s on the Edge. The café is situated in Nether Edge, not really that far from Sharrow Vale, and has a charming, quirky feel

If you’re looking for some Mediterranean beach bar inspired vibes, good coffee, fresh homemade food and great tunes, Costa del Nether Edge is where it’s at It is a great spot to meet friends. And they do a really good Tapas night, or just chill out on the sun deck and banquette, Lotte’s serves a great brunch, and they serve hot food till 3pm, plus they have a variety of fresh bakes and gorgeous scrummy brownies, and really is well worth a visit.

Bradfield is a favourite spot for walking with the boys. Damn flask is perfect for a leisurely stroll or jog, I find the reservoir so peaceful and quiet and a great place to unwind, and if I have been experimenting and taste testing a new brownies creation, this is the perfect place to run it off.

The boys enjoy talking their bikes around the dam, but they always make sure we visit the Post Office for a treat, often I make the excuse of having to go to the post office to send a brownies letterbox delivery by post, instead of using the courier service, and it makes me feel I am going there for work, so I can justify stopping off for a coffee and a treat.

Whether it is hot chocolate or an ice cream in summer, there is always something fresh and homemade to enjoy, they have some tables and chairs out front and with its elevated position looking down across the Bowls green, it really is a slice of England!

I hope you enjoy visiting the above spots as much as my family and I do.
