Hi, I am Lucy and I love cakes (Almost as much as my two boys)
I have always loved baking from being a little girl, some of my fondest memories were baking with my Nan Freda. I now bake with my two sons George and Harry. I have always baked, especially for friends and families, nothing is more rewarding than seeing people really enjoy my cakes.
I particularly love making brownies as well as cakes such as lemon drizzle, orange and almond and carrot. I found that using the best ingredients really makes a difference, such as using free range local eggs with the most delicious orange yolks, freshly ground flour and above all experimenting with various chocolates.
I’m also conscious of my Vegan and Gluten Free customers and ensure all my Free From cakes have not only the finest ingredients but taste amazing, so much so I eat as many of these cakes and brownies as the non-vegan or gluten free cakes.
My friends and family encouraged me to take up baking as a business, so eventually in 2017 I set up Scrumptious by Lucy and I have never looked back. It gives me such joy to hear the comments from customers and to meet countless repeat customers at the various local markets and events. I first attended markets in my home town of Sheffield and then went wider into South Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
Almost all of my bakes are based upon my Nan Freda’s delicious recipes, I have just added a modern twist with some new flavours. Nothing is more important to me than providing you with not only the finest cakes but also ensuring you have the best experience from the moment you click onto my website to the moment you finish the last piece of cake.
